New school building update

Catherine Davis, Executive Headteacher is delighted to announce that the archaeological dig on the new school site has now been completed and that work on the new school building will begin this spring.

Ms Davis said: “Whilst we had full planning permission for the new school, we submitted a planning amendment to Essex County Council seeking to make some improvements to the layout of the school design. I am pleased to tell you that on Friday 19th December the planning amendment was approved by the County Council and that building work will begin this spring.

“The building will be completed in phases, with the primary building planned to be completed in Spring 2027 and with the secondary and Sixth Form following after.

We would like to reassure our parents and local community that the building project is still very much on track”.
