YEAR 6 INTO YEAR 7

As we look ahead to September, I am delighted to introduce myself as the new Head of Year 7 and to say how excited I am to be joining the school community.

As a new member of staff, I feel incredibly privileged to be taking on this role and to have the opportunity to support our incoming Year 7 students as they begin the next stage of their educational journey. Starting secondary school is a significant milestone, and I am committed to ensuring that every student feels welcomed, valued, and supported from the very beginning.

My priority is to build positive relationships with students and families, helping each young person settle in confidently, embrace new opportunities, and develop the skills and character needed to thrive. I am passionate about creating an environment where students feel safe, encouraged, and inspired to achieve their very best.

At the heart of the school are the core values of Ambition, Kindness, Respect, Resilience, Broad-Mindedness, and Independence. These values provide the foundation for everything we do and will guide our Year 7 students as they navigate the exciting opportunities and challenges of secondary school. Whether it is demonstrating kindness towards others, showing resilience when faced with something new, or developing greater independence, these qualities will help our students grow both academically and personally.

I am very much looking forward to meeting our new Year 7 students and their families in the coming months and becoming part of this wonderful school community. Together, we will ensure that every student feels confident, supported, and ready to flourish.

Warm wishes,

Miss Maybanks
Head of Year 7
