The closing date for applications was 31st October 2023.

The National Offer date for schools is 1st March 2024. Offer emails/letters are sent to all Essex resident applicants from Essex County Council confirming the outcome of their application.

The number intended to admit is a maximum of 270 pupils in the year.

In the event of oversubscription, places will be allocated using the criteria as set out in the Admissions policy 2023/24 below.

Straight line distance between the home and school will be used as a tie breaker, with those living closest to the school having highest priority. Distance will be measured using the Local Authority's Geographical Information System.

All mid-year applications for admission to Helena Romanes School must be submitted to the school directly. Once a place has been allocated, the school will contact the family.

Joining Our School- 2022

Children born between 1st September 2017 and 31st August 2018 are eligible to start Reception in September 2022.
